**What can you expect**:
To support the learning and development of our colleagues, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced professional to join our team in the newly created role of Technical Learning & Development Manager.

Providing our clients with advice across operational, boardroom and people risks our colleagues are from a vast range of professions including insurance, risk, legal and allied professions. You will be responsible for development and implementation of a comprehensive learning program to be deployed to all colleague groups.

The Technical Learning & Development team are responsible for ensuring our training program supports our broking Professional Standards and Compliance requirements as well as on-going technical learning and identified soft skills to support client service.

This role is a key element of our People Strategy. To be effective in this role you will be an effective communicator, able to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation. The incumbent will Chair our Learning and Development Committee, ensuring alignment between Professional Standards, Compliance and Career Development needs.

**We will count on you to**:
The Learning & Development Specialist will be working closely with key internal stakeholders including the Executive team and the Learning Committee to:

- Lead the Technical Learning & Development function for Marsh across the Pacific
- Conduct a needs analysis to identify and address gaps in current training programs across our various disciplines
- Develop annual learning program and implement relevant training across all business units
- Ensure development of learning plans for colleagues of various levels of experience appropriate to their profession
- Coordinate, create, and deliver new training, including design and project management of new training programs
- Assess training for relevance and vet for quality
- Ensure training and development programs are aligned to an agreed schedule, budget, and learning objects as approved by business leaders
- Monitor the implementation and completion of a yearly learning schedule and CPD requirements
- Grow and lead a small team of other learning and development professionals

**We would like you to have**:

- Strong relationship management and influencing skills - ability to interact at an executive/strategic level and with colleagues
- Outstanding verbal and written skills to support clear and accurate communication with stakeholders
- Commercial focus, with a pragmatic approach to L&D outcomes
- Understanding on broking Professional Standards and Compliance requirements: PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office suite

**What makes you stand out**:

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry (e.g. broking, underwriting, claims etc.), with solid, demonstrable experience in learning and development
- Experience managing a team preferred
- University degree and relevant broking qualifications (Tier 1 Compliance) or related studies are desired.
