- This position contributes to the effective operations of the Court by supporting the delivery of financial processing, purchasing, procurements, asset maintenance and technologies used in court.The Magistrates Court of Tasmania seeks a motivated person to support day-to-day operations in a fast-paced workplace. While this role is mainly focussed on Hobart facilities, you will also support projects and financial processing state-wide. You will need to be very organised, have great customer service skills, enjoy working with people and technology, and have good attention to detail

**Hours per fortnight**:
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

**Duties**:

- Support the Manager Finance and Facilities in all aspects of the Magistrates Court’s financial management, processing and reporting including:

- processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable;
- purchasing of supplies
- reconciliation of financial documents, in line with relevant policies and procedures; and
- undertaking research and analysis to inform budgeting and purchasing activities.
- Assist by managing small projects and procurements, in accordance with the Court’s requirements, Treasurer’s Instructions and departmental policies.
- Co-ordinate management of the Court’s Divisional Government Vehicle fleet, including maintenance schedules and contractual requirements.
- Ensure Hobart Magistrates Court’s building management and security systems and associated services are operational and maintained to the required standard.
- Provide support for the operation of audio-visual and other technologies used in court including:

- resolving minor technical issues;
- providing training and information to technology users; and
- coordinating support from departmental support services and external service providers.
- Oversee the work of trainees and provide inductions and oversight of contractors working on site.
- Fulfil, and maintain appropriate certification for, the role of Chief Fire Warden for the Hobart Magistrates Court, including liaison with relevant WHS representatives, Tasmanian Fire Service and other external agencies to ensure the safety and security of people and the physical environment.
- Perform any other duties as directed by your supervisor.
