**Role**:
The role of the Community Hub Leader at Stevensville Primary is to:

- Connect with our families to seek the types of service and information our community needs.
- Engage with community groups to build school and local community partnerships.
- Create opportunities to develop community programs that build the capacity of parents and carers to participate as part of the Hub and local community.
- Ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for the parents and carers and children at the Hub.
- Develop a relevant documentation for the Hub such as meetings and agenda, maintain schedules of activities, and create promotional brochures and articles for media, newsletters in a timely, engaging and effective manner.
- Work closely with local kindergartens, in conjunction with Assistant Principal to support the needs of Early Years children and their families as they get ready to enter school.
- Manage the Community Hub annual expenditure budget, in conjunction with the Principal.
- Provide reports as required to Community Hubs Australia.
- Meet as required with school leadership team and report on hub progress
- Evaluate programs and activities to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the school community

**Location Profile**:
Stevensville PS is located in the western suburbs of St Albans. The school currently has a SFOE index of 0.7162. Our student population of 211 is culturally diverse with 75% of students speaking a language other than English at home.

Our Strategic and Annual Improvement Plans have a focus on improving student outcomes in reading, number & algebra and student agency. Teachers work in professional learning teams to plan and implement a differentiated curriculum with a focus on meeting individual needs to maximise student outcomes. Individual student support is provided through targeted instruction, including the implementation of Levelled Literacy Intervention.
