Use your skills in program scheduling to perform program and project scheduling activities for science, engineering and instrumentation projects at the Australian Synchrotron, ANSTO in Clayton

**About the role**:

- Full time, max term contract until 30th June 2026
- Up to $64 p/hr commensurate to experience
- Based at the Australian Synchrotron - ANSTO, Clayton

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Develop, maintain and manage a Master Schedule for the Capital Portfolio using relevant project planning software packages
- Develop and manage planning and scheduling aspects of the overall Program(s) of work;
- Manage the schedule with input from Project Managers in the establishment and maintenance of their schedule baselines, including milestones, critical path, resourcing plans, work breakdown structures, earned value, and interdependency management;
- Monitor the baseline for projects across the facility
- Perform critical path analysis, schedule and resource risk assessment, and provide results and recommendations to maximise the efficiency of project delivery;
- Report on key project data and variances in relation to project performance;
- Actively manage the implementation of continuous improvement activities relating to planning and scheduling processes and other relevant areas;
**Selection Criteria**:

- Qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Extensive demonstrated experience in tracking, planning and scheduling multiple complex projects in accordance with relevant project frameworks and standards.
- Ability to take a hands-on approach in a small team
- Significant ability to analyse and interpret project data and proactively identify issues.
- Highly effective organisation and planning skills including high attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Previous experience working within formal project environments
- Strong Computer skills including an extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive relationships including experience in successful customer management.
