**The Organisation**:
First established in 1916,
**RSL Victoria**’s primary objectives are to provide support to veterans and their families, acknowledge Australian Defence Force service and perpetuate its patriotic duty whilst encouraging conversation and mateship between those who have served and their communities. A crucial role of the RSL is also to appropriately commemorate those who have suffered and died in service of our nation or its allies.

To achieve these objectives, RSL Victoria delivers a range of programs, services and initiatives directly and has 270 Sub-Branches throughout Victoria. Most major towns and suburbs across the state have an RSL Sub-Branch including those who have established significant facilities for local members and their communities.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and being the trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, this role provides technical high-level strategic and operational oversight to core departments. You will also take responsibility for the maintenance of financial systems to ensure the timely flow of information for critical organisational decision-making. This includes managing all finance processes, leading and developing a management team, and reporting on all financial elements of performance. The CFO is also expected to develop commercial opportunities to ensure the long-term success of this iconic organisation.

Strong financial knowledge, strategic planning experience, financial management skills, and reporting expertise are fundamental requirements for this CFO position. The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with cross functional teams, excellent time-management skills and being able to prioritise tasks within a dynamic environment are keys to your success.

You will have:

- a tertiary qualification in business/commerce, and CPA or CA preferred
- demonstrated experience operating at an executive management level
- experience in the Not-for-Profit sector, coupled with strong commercial acumen
- experience managing communication with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- leadership experience across a sizeable team
