**The Organisation**:

- Based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this privately owned and progressive medical group continues to go from strength to strength and now operates a large number of medical and dental centres across 5 states in Australia - with more growth anticipated over the coming months and years- You will have responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of a company, including business planning, budgeting, M&A and financial analysis, and you will work closely with the CEO.**The role**:

- This is a hands-on role, managing the overall financial wellbeing of the company, developing and improving on policies & procedures, managing financial risk, and working closely with the CEO to deliver reliable and fast reporting to enable sound commercial decisions.- Reporting to the CEO, your role will be broad and it will evolve over time. Your responsibilities will include:
- Take a lead role in driving change and improvements in systems and processes throughout the company
- Developing the preparation of timely financial and management reports
- Managing all accounting operations including Billing, Payroll, A/R, A/P, GL and P&L integrity
- Reviewing and managing the delivery of monthly management accounts
- Cashflow management, including 3-year three way report preparation
- Supporting month-end and year-end close process
- Driving cost improvements across the business
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Assist the CEO with M&A analysis and review, and ensure the smooth financial integration of acquired businesses.
- Oversight and review of cost and revenue centres including property and lease management.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations
- Reviewing Tax lodgments and liaising with the ATO and external Accountants
- You will also be responsible for the managing the annual external audit function
- Assist the CEO with financial analysis and modelling of acquisitions to enable further growth of the business.- Mus be energetic and eager to lead the finance team for further growth and development.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Have the ability to manage rapidly changing priorities in a highly dynamic environment.
- Are a motivated self-starter, with strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Be a strong performance manager with drive and enthusiasm to succeed as part of a team and deliver outstanding results.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to win the respect and trust of colleagues and customers
- Be an excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills
- Have strong ethical and professional values
- Have proven CFO experience.
