We have an exciting new opportunity for a **Business Development Coordinator** to join genU Training
genU Training is both a Victorian Registered Training Organisation and an industry-training partner for the National Employment Services Association. We work with individuals and job service providers to match appropriate courses to students' individual needs. Or you can use our corporate and group training to place your business or organisation ahead of the field.
The role of the **Business Development Coordinator** is to build and maintain relationships that lead to the generation of new business. genU Training will rely on you to find ways to increase student enrolments, commencements, outperform our competition, and maintain our organisational positive image.
**_This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Ballarat however the role requires regular travel to our various workplaces._**
**Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with existing customers and contacts to boost student enrolments.
- Develop and execute a territory plan for targeting new business effectively.
- Cultivate new business relationships and identify revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager on local sales and networking strategies.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable courses.
- Foster relationships with key personnel and drive referrals.
- Visit Employment Service Providers and Community Service Providers to promote enrolments.
- Cold call potential clients to generate new business appointments.
- Deliver client presentations and participate in course planning and regional meetings.
- Attend networking events and expos, including school and job fairs.
- Maintain accurate administration and Salesforce data.
- Perform other tasks as directed by genU.

**Essential requirements**:
- Proven experience in business development and/or relationship coordination
- Excellent communication skills
- Aptitude for fostering positive relationships
- Professionally represent the genU Training brand
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive
- Ability to work autonomously but also willing to take direction
- Demonstrated success in achieving KPIs
- Must have the ability to identify clients’ needs and match a relevant training solution

- _NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion_
**Highly desirable**:
- Knowledge and use of Salesforce or similar software
- Understanding industry demand and skills shortages
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or experience working in an adult education/training environment
