**Why do we need you?**

Hume City Council is seeking three (3) experienced, energetic and self-motivated people to join the Environmental Services unit. The successful applicants will need to understand and have experience in waste management practices, possess excellent customer service skills and have a passion for the environment. You will also have the ability to organise workloads on a daily basis. Current heavy rigid truck license is required.

**About You**

As a Waste & Litter Collection Officer your responsibility and expertise will include but not limited to:

- Substantial knowledge and experience in the field of waste including litter bin collection, disposal operations, resource recovery practices or relevant maintenance activities.
- Current driver's license / heavy rigid truck license with proficiency in the utilisation of heavy mechanical plant and equipment with emphasis on waste and litter collection vehicles.
- Ability to plan, program and monitor the progress of works and programs including proficiency in maintaining accurate records of works either manually or in an electronic format.
- Ability to gain cooperation and communicate both verbally and in written form to a broad range of people.
