Social Planning and Policy Officer

We are seeking a suitably qualified person to join the team in the role of Social Planning and Policy Officer. The priority focus area for this role is planning, policy and research to support Council to deliver priorities of its Community Strategy and Annual and Strategic Plan specific objectives.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Demonstrated research and social planning experience including high level report writing.
- Understanding of community development principles and engagement approaches.
- Effective and well-developed stakeholder management communication at all levels with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with people who have a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.
- Effective organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines under conflicting pressures while being committed to meeting stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities along with the ability to recommend workable solutions.

**Qualifications required**:

- A tertiary qualification within a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in a similar role with knowledge of planning, report writing and project evaluation

**Position Hours**:Part-time, 45 hours fortnight (6 days per fortnight preferred days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

**Salary range**:$77,424.95 to $87,139.63 (pro rata) plus superannuation
