**About the job**
As a Junior Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting data to inform decision making for a range of credit risk activities by manipulating raw data and leveraging data visualisation tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain our internal control systems and assist in formulating our credit policies
- Provide assurance and advice to our internal stakeholders and leadership team about the accuracy of information contained in our financial reports
- Examine our costs and prepare reporting statements for our internal stakeholders and leadership team
- Build reports and financial models to monitor the performance of the financial performance of the loan portfolio
- Collect and manipulate raw data to assist other members of the Credit Risk team in decision making
- Maintain the integrity of the suite of Management Information and ad-hoc analysis to support the business
- Maintain and run existing Dashboards and reporting suites to appraise financial risk of our projects
- Assist with ad-hoc questions from stakeholders across the business
- Generate general insights and report on trends for Origination and Account Management/Collections
- Assist the team with ad-hoc analysis on the entire credit lifecycle and appraise financial risk
- Ad-hoc duties as required
**About you**
You love problem-solving and finding solutions. Ideally, you would have had experience working within a financial services environment.
You’ll also have:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or equivalent
- **2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role**:
- Initial understanding of credit risk or knowledge of credit score development
- Familiarity and initial experience with data manipulation and visualisation tools such as SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, R or Python.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate your findings.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand trends to assist in forming decisions.
- Understanding of the financial services industry including the loan life cycle.
