**Junior Risk Analyst**:
Our Risk Management team operates very closely with our trading and technology teams in order to manage the inherent risks in different trading strategies across various asset classes. The Risk Management team is responsible for developing risk metrics and tools to quantify and monitor these risks.

The Junior Risk Analyst will develop risk management tooling in python, will build thorough understanding of and contribute to IMC risk frameworks and will establish strong relationships across trading, technology and support teams at IMC.

**As part of the wider Risk Management team you will**:

- Work closely with trading teams to capture market, credit, liquidity and operational risks arising from new and existing trading strategies.
- Proactively assist in implementing and improving our risk policies, methodologies and limits.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of in-house built Risk Management tools to strengthen our risk monitoring and alerting framework.
- Develop a solid understanding of our trading infrastructure in order to advise on operational risk incidents and ways to mitigate them.
- Represent the Risk function internally across different teams and committees and manage local initiatives and projects.
- Work across IMC’s offices and time zones to contribute to global risk projects.

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Finance, Maths, Statistics or Econometrics or similar with a minimum overall mark of at least a Distinction average, or equivalent.
- From graduate up to 3 years' work experience with a demonstrated interest in derivatives trading environment or products
- Experience with programming in Python and/or SQL a must
- Excellent trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills and the ability to solve problems creatively and proactively
- The ability to prioritize, act, and perform successfully in a fast-moving and high-pressured environment
