**HR Advisor**

Local Government Authority based in the northeast | Initially a 3-month contract | Flexible hybrid work model | $45 - $57 per hour + super
- **Hybrid work will be offered with approximately 2 days in the office and remainder from home depending on the week**:

- **Reporting into Senior BP | Liaising with council leaders on a daily basis to provide general HR advice, support and guidance on a range of matters**:

- **Opportunity to get involved with high level P&C projects & some employee relations activity including employee investigation**

**About the company**

A Local Government authority based in the northeast of Melbourne are looking for People & Culture Adviser to join their People & Culture team. You will be reporting into a Senior HR Business Partner. You will be working for a value focussed organisation, who focus on being high performing & providing a great service to their local community.

Ideally seeking someone full time but open to 4 days per week. The organisation offers flexible hybrid working, with approximately 2 days in the office and 3 days from home depending on the week. The contract is initially 3 months, and it could lead to longer term opportunities.

The main objective of the position is to support the senior business partner with their portfolio of clients. You will be supporting with letters of offer, general administration and building relationships with stakeholders.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Being a true HR generalist and supporting a portfolio of the council
- Support with transformation and change management by providing advice and data
- Provide technical support during interviews and occasionally sit in on interviews
- Support the Senior BP with case management
- Provide advice and update policies
- Support line managers with workforce planning
- Provide informed advice and technical expertise to employees and leaders in their assigned directorates on a wide range of People and Culture matters
- P&C project work - organisational change and collation of data
- Any other administrative and adhoc duties as required

**You will have the following**:

- Tertiary qualifications in HR or other related field
- Experience working in a generalist HR role
- Experience in managing a broad range of workplace relations and people issues including performance management, change management, grievances, and disputes
- Well-articulated verbal and written communication skills with experience in report writing or policy development
- Excellent stakeholder management including internal leaders and external bodies
- Experience in Technology One or similar HRIS is advantageous
