We currently have a vacancy for an **Airfreight Export Operator** in our **Airfreight Export **team based in our **Melbourne Head** office.

**_ Overall Role Purpose_**
Export Operator is responsible for:

- Takes customer bookings
- Processing, coordinating and distributing all required documents in the shipping area,
- Performs pickup arrangement, and
- Ensures customer requirements are met and documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner

**_Accountabilities_**
**Impact**
- Creates/confirms transport order to ensure pickup of the shipment at origin
- Performs booking and booking optimization
- Prepares, controls and distributes all required Export documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.)
- Completes export clearance
- Checks responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents
- Follows-up shipment status in the Export area, identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents

**Customer, Other Stakeholder & Process**
- Develops relationship with portfolio of export airfreight customer’s
- Incident and exception management resolution
- Maintains excellent relationships with suppliers

**Problem Complexity/Process**
- Is responsible for identifying performance issues of suppliers and proposes solutions to improve/correct performance
- Performs IT systems related tasks to provide up to date information on shipment

**_Skills / Qualifications_**
- CargoWise system experience required
- Extensive knowledge of Airfreight
- AFR Export Operations preferred.
- Results & solution driven
- Minimum two (2) years previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in airfreight and/or ocean-freight operational roles (advantageous)
- Sound knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics in general
- Able to work independently
- Follow origin & destination government requirements
- Adaptable to changes daily due to customer & airlines requests
- High degree of reliability and attention to detail.
- Be a team player with a positive can do attitude.
- Be results driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills
