We’re seeking a proactive and dynamic individual to join our newly established team in a high-profile role at Manningham Council. As our Small Business Liaison Officer, you’ll work closely with businesses in Manningham’s smaller activity centres, engaging with them daily to understand their needs and help deliver strategic initiatives that enhance both the centres and the businesses.
In this role, you’ll be the vital link between Council and the business community, using your relationship-building skills to cultivate trust and respect. Your contributions will directly support the growth and vibrancy of our local economy.

**Tasks Include**
- Develop and deliver marketing, promotion and branding projects that facilitate advancement of local businesses and activity centre identity.
- Deliver a range of social media news and marketing initiatives.
- Manage external relationships with businesses supporting their growth and capacity to deliver projects.
- Be the ‘go to’ person for the business community.

**About the Role**
The Small Business Liaison Officer is a key new position within our Economic Development team, dedicated to supporting businesses across Manningham’s 28 smaller activity centres. Your primary focus will be on developing and nurturing long-term, sustainable relationships with the business community, where trust and respect are the foundation for building strong partnerships and achieving shared goals.
In addition to relationship management, you’ll also be responsible for leading our electronic communications, including the creation of e-newsletters and social media content, ensuring businesses are well-informed and engaged. This role is dynamic and varied—no two days will be the same. You’ll work both proactively, learning from businesses to design and implement strategic initiatives, and reactively, addressing and resolving issues as they arise to support the local business community.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to a variety of audiences.
- Skilled in delivery of social media and electronic communications.
