Reporting to the Senior Manager, Group Treasury Non-Financial Risk, this is a first line of defence risk role. We deliver value through oversight and assurance of the effectiveness of the end-to-end risk and controls environment across Group Treasury. You will play an important and significant part in implementing a best-practice control environment in Group Treasury. You will receive support from your team and the wider Group Treasury team as you develop your skills and progress your career.By utilising your prior experience, you’ll review and report on risks and controls, the delivery of regulatory requirements, proactively identify issues and maintain appropriate quality of information in the risk management data repository. It will be important that you have a strong ability to build and maintain a large network of relationships and independent problem-solving. You will be engaging with stakeholders across all parts of Macquarie including business units, risk, compliance, legal and other support teams.

You will be backed by a team of risk management professionals in Line 1, Line 2 and Treasury professionals in a proactive, supportive environment. We will support the development of your career, with internal career prospects and flexible working.

To be successful, you will need tertiary qualifications and have a stable, yet progressive career to date with 3+ years’ experience in Non-Financial Risk. Bank Treasury experience is desirable but not required.

We’re looking for strengths in some broad areas and these include not only a curious and investigative nature but excellent communication skills, a willingness to take on responsibility, an adaptable and flexible work approach as well as a high level of attention to detail. You’ll have the ability to work autonomously, yet as part of a team. It is also important that you have a desire to learn about the various areas within our Financial Management Group.
