As a Manager, Non-Financial Risk in Regulatory Affairs & Aggregate Risk (RAAR), you will work with stakeholders across Macquarie's businesses, support groups and senior management to ensure Macquarie meet its non-financial risk obligations to APRA.

This is a hands-on role and a great opportunity to develop deep expertise in banking regulation and compliance with prudential requirements, with fantastic exposure to a range of business and support areas across the group. Your work will link into many aspects of Macquarie’s risk management framework providing you with an opportunity to build a strong network with risk professionals within the Risk Management Group and across Macquarie’s business and support groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

- providing advice on APRA’s requirements and expectations to stakeholders across the Group
- reviewing business initiatives ensuring compliance with applicable prudential standards and guidance
- supporting the Group’s annual CPS 220 Risk Management Declaration process
- ensuring interaction between Macquarie and regulators are in line with Macquarie’s Regulatory Engagement principles
- reviewing documents prior to submission to the Regulator and co-ordination of prudential reviews
- ensuring stakeholders within the Group are up-to-date with regulatory change

Your ability to understand regulations quickly and overlay these with business propositions will prove critical to success. An understanding of the prudential regulatory framework and non-financial risks will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to think laterally with strong problem-solving skills. Being able to grasp abstract concepts and understand complex situations is essential. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues.

You take pride in getting the details right while remaining aware of the bigger picture and you will have gained prior experience in an audit, operational risk, regulatory or compliance role within financial services.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
