**About the opportunity**

We are seeking highly experienced and motivated individuals to join our Civil Asset Maintenance team. Our team carries out a varied range of operational, capital and development contribution work ensuring the infrastructure assets are maintained and constructed to a required standard that aligns with our corporate values.

In this position, you will be investigating/inspecting/monitoring infrastructure assets and organising contract works. The position also involves the supervision of contractors and subcontractors to ensure that they provide an effective and efficient output. You will help formulate strategies to maintain Council's civil infrastructure at the highest service standards and from time to time assist in the implementation of infrastructure asset improvement programs. You will be involved with roads and drainage maintenance and liaising with customers and the community at times. You will also be responsible for the timely delivery of customer request investigations, reports and document management as required.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Trade qualification or Certificate IV in a related field
- Demonstrated communication skills when responding to internal and external customers
- Current class ‘C’ driver's licence.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- 41-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- Leaseback vehicle or car allowance
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 10.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
