Civil Asset Maintenance Overseer (12 Month Contract)


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Civil Asset Maintenance Overseer to oversee and manage the maintenance of civil assets such as buildings, roads, and other infrastructure for our client who is one of sydneys most multicultural councils located in Western Sydney.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans for civil assets to ensure they are kept in good condition and meet safety requirements.
  • Oversee maintenance activities such as inspections, repairs, and upgrades of civil assets.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance projects, including procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor the performance of maintenance activities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities and costs.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the condition of civil assets and make recommendations for repairs and upgrades as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing the maintenance of civil assets.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with budget management and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to civil asset maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
