About the opportunity

An exciting full-time opportunity exists for an Open Space Asset Inspector, to join our fast-paced team in carrying out cyclic risk and condition assessments of all our open space sites and assets.

If you have a passion for preserving open spaces in our vibrant city and possess a sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of responsibility towards maintaining open space asset infrastructure.

Join our dynamic team as an Open Space Asset Inspector and play a pivotal role in ensuring the conservation and optimal use of our city's precious open space assets.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

• TAFE Certificate of Trade or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Extensive relevant experience in infrastructure maintenance of nominated focus area infrastructure.
• Class C Driver's Licence.

Desirable:

• Experience in the use of ESRI GIS software.
• Knowledge of surveying and GPS equipment.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Availability to work flexible working hours.
• Understanding and demonstrated experience in asset collection, risk management and condition assessment.
• Staff and contractor supervision experience.
• WorkCover approved General Induction for Construction Work in NSW.
• Experience in TechnologyOne including CiAnywhere.

Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

• Entry level for this position starts at $1,560.32 per week
• 40hour working week
• Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
• Leaseback vehicle
