**The Opportunity**

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Social Work in the School of Social Sciences to enhance the University’s mission and help shape the future of the social work profession. The School of Social Sciences, which sits in the College of Arts, Law and Education, is a multi-campus academic community specialising in Sociology, Criminology, Social Work, Politics and Policy, International Relations, Tourism, Policing and Emergency Management. Students study with us across campuses in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie in Tasmania, at the Victorian Police Academy in Melbourne, and at Rozelle in New South Wales.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
- Build strong and productive partnerships both inside the University, and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry and/or wider community to enhance translation and impact.
- Deliver high-quality scholarly undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, using innovative approaches to prepare students for the future social work workforce.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

**Your Application**
- PhD or equivalent in Social Work or a relevant field and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- A record of quality research and a continuing commitment to research in the field of Social Work, as evidenced by quality publications, presentations at conferences and successful external competitive and other funding.
- Experience in delivering dynamic and relevant learning experiences for students at the University level in Social Work, across all delivery modes including online and face-to-face.
- Professional experience of at least 2 years post-graduation in Social Work or a related field.

**Remuneration**

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $142,799 comprising base salary within the range of $105,131 to $122,050 plus 17% superannuation.
