**About the opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team in the School of Nursing which is part of the College of Health and Medicine. The School of Nursing works in close partnership with Tasmanian and national healthcare partners to improve the health of Tasmanians and to educate a new generation of nurses with capability in leadership and future-focused health care. We build our future workforce through innovative learning experiences using sophisticated digital and face to face delivery across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. We foster a dynamic, highly engaged work environment with interdisciplinary opportunities for research and teaching across the across the university and with our health service partners. The School of Nursing sits within the College of Health and Medicine which has a focus on boosting health and medical research performance and evidence-based learning and teaching to educate a new generation of agile health professionals and researchers.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
- Undertake scholarly undergraduate and postgraduate coursework teaching of high quality.
- Make an effective contribution in the teaching of contemporary undergraduate and postgraduate nursing curricula, including unit coordination, curriculum development, evaluation and utilising emerging and online technology.
- Undertake collaborative research and/or scholarly contributions as relevant for qualifications and the University’s performance expectations for Level B.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective partnerships inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry and/or wider community.
- Registration as a Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Post graduate nursing qualifications at PhD, or Masters level (desirable).
- Experience and demonstrated achievement in university-level teaching and learning including managing and coordinating units, developing nursing curricula and delivering dynamic learning experiences in undergraduate and postgraduate programs across all modes using contemporary teaching practices.
- Engagement with innovative approaches to learning and teaching, and capacity to initiate and deliver quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrated experience in nursing practice (with recency) including experience in a specialty area of nursing practice.

**Salary details**

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $147,083 comprising base salary within the range of $108,285 to $125,712 plus 17% superannuation.
