**About the Role**:
The Casual Assistant, Events will provide support to the development and delivery of a number of one-off major events and a full range of activities within the University’s events program, including visits, public orations, cultural festivals, industry expos and faculty events. The Assistant is also responsible for recording and updating engagement of internal and external stakeholders in the Events Management database.
**To be successful, you’ll have**:
- We are seeking an efficient and enthusiastic person with strong attention to detail. Experience in administration and event coordination is essential along with the ability to learn new online systems quickly. Experience with InDesign and the ability to create digital design assets would be an advantage. Travel between campuses and out-of-business hours work will be required along with the ability to lift boxes and items needed for events.
**Your key responsibilities will be**:
- Assist with the delivery of events as directed, in accordance with the annual events calendar (including venue/supplier liaison, coordinating design creative, promotional and logístical elements, invitation and operational requirements).
- To ensure accuracy within the Events Management database, maintain contact details, produce reports and track relationships and engagement.
- Provision of exceptional customer service in the organisation of events and at the attendance of events to ensure the needs and expectations of stakeholders are met and attendees have an excellent experience.
- Support the Events team as required under the direction of the Manager, Events.
