**About us**
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is an independent statutory authority responsible for the curriculum, assessment, teacher accreditation and regulatory standards in NSW schools, and accreditation of early childhood educators. NESA is responsible for developing policies and initiatives for evaluating and improving quality teaching and student learning across all schools and school sectors. NESA was formally established on 1 January 2017, in response to the need to adopt a more strategic and outward-looking focus, greater clarity of regulatory roles and responsibilities, and streamlined processes and systems.
At NESA we are presently focused on an exciting, transformational program of curriculum reform, and this role is a great opportunity to lead the work of passionate educators.
**About the role**
The Manager, Change and Transition is a role key to the transition of syllabuses from Curriculum Reform to the business-as-usual work of Curriculum and Assessment Standards. The role requires close collaboration and shared responsibility with the Director, Curriculum Reform and Senior Manager Curriculum Transition to ensure the smooth transitioning of Curriculum Reform work to BAU activity. Responsibilities include liaison with key internal stakeholders and to have oversight and management of transition processes to ensure that, through the transition, fidelity to the Curriculum Reform is maintained for the benefit of teachers and students. As such the role contributes to meeting the objectives of the Curriculum Reform based on the findings of the NSW Curriculum Review.
On a day -to-day basis you will be responsible for:
- providing visibility of the work of Curriculum Reform to Curriculum Standards through adherence to agreed internal processes.
- providing a best practice change process lens to transition and other change initiatives ensure Role efficiency.
- providing leadership and oversight of the various processes and deliverables required through the transition process.
- providing high level advice and expertise to the Curriculum Reform Executive team regarding issues or challenges that emerge through the transition process.
- preparing reports, briefings, data and correspondence in relation to the transition and other change initiatives.
**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in change management
- Demonstrated delivery of change initiatives in a complex environment
- Experience delivering change in an education setting will be highly regarded.
