We are currently recruiting a new contract opportunity for an ASAP start until March 2024, for a Broadcast & Media Technical Lead to be responsible for developing and delivering broadcast and media related technology and workflow projects. This role requires full availability December-February (outside of public holidays) as well as the ability to travel to lead in summer events during December.

About the role
- Reporting into and working alongside the Broadcast & Media Technical Manager, in this role you will provide high level project support as well as act as a senior liaison and servicing point between Tennis Australia, respective event teams, related operational and technical suppliers, service providers, media partners and broadcasters.- Oversee the development of Edit workflows between Live & Non-Live productions, project plans summarising all required and completed tasks, activities and technical builds in order to build ongoing TA internal Broadcast & Media operations capability-
- Drive regular working group meetings with various teams and suppliers ensuring accurate sharing of information and timely installation of various broadcast & media technical areas across various sites-
- Lead the development and distribution of the yearly Host Broadcast operational handbook providing safety induction information, venue access and other important contractor information specific to the AO and Melbourne Olympic Park precinct-
- Lead the development of technical workflows and systems to support broadcast, media and production requirements-
- Provide accurate costings to inform decision making for design and technical options available to internal and external stakeholders-
- Assist the selection and hire of suitable tournament staff (in conjunction with the wider team and as required)-
- Manage, plan, allocate and/or action ad-hoc tasks within the position brief or as directedAbout you
- What you will bring to the role:_- Technical Project Management experience (desirable)-
- Experience in large scale sporting events, with exposure to Technical Operations and Delivery (essential)-
- In depth knowledge of technical facilities in Live Sports Broadcast-
- Edit Workflow experience is essential, Avid, Adobe, EVS integration-
- Supplier management (essential)-
- MS Office Suite and project orientated software such as Smartsheet (essential)-
- AutoCAD experience and ability to create/manipulate plans and drawings (desirable)-
- Ability to understand, interpret and comply with contracts and contractual requirements-
- Strong negotiation, budget coordination and administration skills with high attention to detail-
