**Your Responsibilities**:
Work closely with rail operators and rail safety workers to oversee safety practices and ensure compliance with the Rail Safety National Law. Your tasks will include:

Conducting regulatory activities like site visits, audits, inspections, and responding to rail safety incidents.
- Providing detailed reports on your regulatory activities with recommendations to the Manager, Operations, and General Manager.
- Assisting with technical advice on rail safety operational matters.
- Performing the role of a Duty Officer, taking calls regarding rail incidents and providing initial responses.
- Supporting rail safety initiatives through proactive monitoring of regulatory intelligence.

**Experience**:

Understanding or motivation to learn the principles of integrated safety management systems and risk management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with others.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce quality reports.
- A curious mindset and comfort in conducting conversations that lead to problem recognition and solution development.
- Flexibility in approach and adaptability to new situations.
