About the role:
We are currently seeking a Place Activations Officer. The successful applicant will have a key role in delivering and fostering ‘Place’ projects across the LGA. It is a key role within the Place and Projects team. This will be a great opportunity for a well-organised team player who is comfortable and competent when engaging and working with the community, as they are with their colleagues across the organisation.
- Work with the community, key stakeholders and team members to develop place based projects and services that respond to and harness local community strengths and assets in places around the City and the community’s priorities as identified in Council's Community Strategic Plan.
- To facilitate and develop outcomes focused projects which build community capacity as identified and directed by Council through consultation and planning.
- Plan, implement and evaluate strategies and activities to meet designated outcomes of Council's Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program and Operational Plan.
- Establish and support networks and partnerships with local community groups and organisations which are place based and outcomes focused.
- Prepare and provide information and reports on identified community issues and needs to Council to assist in placed based community development.
- Input and monitor budgets relevant to position and programs.
- Develop an annual work plan in relationship to the Community Life Work plan.
- Work with staff across Council to develop, implement and report on projects and issues.
- Provide high quality customer focused service.
- Record keeping.
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Contraindication Certificate upon commencement.
