HR Manager

Sydney, Australia Urbanise Full time

In this role you will report to the CFO with a dotted line into the CEO and work closely alongside the organisation’s management team and our shared services team to manage the day-to-day HR function, and to provide advice and support on all HR/employee related matters.

**The Role**
- Proactively identify people issues and propose appropriate and innovative solutions
- Ensure there is a focus on creating a high-performance culture with clear accountability
- Work with Managers to ensure probation and performance reviews are carried out in a timely manner and any actions are followed up
- Provide support and coaching to Managers to enable them to effectively manage underperformance
- Work closely with Managers to proactively manage all employee issues such as grievances, disciplinaries and absences
- Provide advice and support in organizational reviews/restructures and to work with the business to implement any organizational changes, minimizing risk to the business
- Develop the capability of Managers to retain talent and ensure that clear succession and development plans are in place
- Support line managers and the central recruitment team to recruit and cost effectively select new and replacement positions
- Work closely with the business leaders to ensure teams and individuals are being supported and developed in line with the overall business strategy
- Communicate and promote organisational values
- Work closely with the CFO, CEO and Board of Directors on ESG
- Help to develop the HR strategy for Urbanise

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as an HR business partner
- Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
- Proven ability to work in a standalone role taking ownership of key projects and driving initiatives
- Solid understanding of employment law, Fair Work and Award interpretation
- Strong relationship building and business partnering skills
- A high level of organisational skills including the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- A “go-getter” attitude and self-starter
- Ability to work with people internationally across different time zones
- A positive and personable attitude - works well in an entrepreneurial environment
- Strong communication skills at an Executive level
