Banyule City Council is hiring an Asset Systems Officer to play a key role within the Delivery and Assets Department.

The Delivery and Assets team comprises three business units as follows:

- **Asset Management**:Maintaining and updating infrastructure asset register, preparing Council’s asset management policy, strategy and plans, developing Capital Works Program, reviewing and providing specialist technical engineering advice on infrastructure asset issues to stakeholders.
- **Capital Works**:Delivering the Capital Works Program including roads, footpaths, shared trails, drainage network, buildings and bridges.
- **Building Maintenance**:Maintaining of all Council owned Buildings.

**About the role**:

- You will maintain the integrity of Council’s infrastructure asset registers.
- Manage Council’s existing Asset Management System (AMS).
- Provide support to the IT department in aspects of managing Council’s systems and the interfaces into AMS.
- Provide support for management in the use of asset related data for business planning and process improvement.
- Support teams across the organisation in the use of the AMS, including training, system customisation and continuous improvement.
- Support the team for internal and external reporting (e.g. VAGO, LGPRF).

**Skills, experience and certificates**:

- Knowledge and understanding of Asset Management planning principles, preferably in Local Government.
- Experience in managing asset registers and Asset Management Systems including predictive modelling tools.
- High level of oral and written communication skills.
