The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for a Lecturer - Space Technology to join their team.

As a Lecturer, you will be expected to prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and workshops and to assess students in the interdisciplinary area of Space Technology both on campus and online. This includes developing and supporting academic programs and working with the academic team in the development of program change and innovation. The Lecturer position is also expected to mentor and counsel students on academic matters and may also supervise honours, masters and PhD students.

A contribution to the School’s research output, income and impact is required. You will assume administrative tasks associated with normal teaching duties and will also contribute to School management and administration generally.

**About You**
**To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities**:

- Demonstrated ability to undertake teaching, associated administrative duties, coordination and curriculum development at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Demonstrated commitment to leading edge/best practice education, including blended learning formats, online teaching and the use of case studies, role-plays and/or simulations in the learning environment
- Demonstrated industry or consulting experience including established links with relevant industries and organisations
- Demonstrated commitment to research in the university context, a capacity in the use of a variety of research methods and a track record of publishing in discipline relevant quality academic journals

**Qualifications**
- An earned doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a related field
