Great opportunity for HR Advisor to join this busy, fast paced business. With some flexibility to work from home or CBD offices, you will be able to have full ownership of 2 crucial business arms to provide general HR advice, guidance and support. The role will report to the ER Manager and work closely with other HR and Talent Professionals in the wider P&C team. This role could be considered more like a HR BP role than an Advisor role given the amount of stakeholder interaction that is required.

HR generalist responsibilities range from ER, performance management, policy and compliance and include such tasks as:

- Be the first point of contact for matters relating to P&C policies, procedures, agreements, employment conditions and entitlements, and award interpretation
- Support end to end processes of the employee life-cycle including onboarding, changes to employment and offboarding, such as preparation of employment contracts, variations and system input into the HRIS and payroll.
- Manage employee relations queries and issues management including grievances
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure they are a trusted advisor
- Partner with the business on end-to-end people solutions including talent development, engagement, and change management.
- Deliver sound solutions to changes in the business unit to build engagement.
- Collaborate with our external stakeholders including government and union partner
- Support and coordinate P&C projects and initiatives aligned to the P&C operation plan and according to priorities for the team and business.

What you need to bring to the role:

- Tertiary qualifications in HR or HR related degree
- Demonstrated experience in a HR Advisory role which a focus on employee relations and generalist advice
- Highly developed understanding of people and culture employee relations matters.
- Exposure to Award interpretation and enterprise Agreements or keen interest to self-learn in this area
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to exercise judgement, discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Outstanding work ethic with a willingness to support colleagues in a variety of tasks and projects
