Wenona is seeking experienced and energetic Theatre Assistants. This role contributes to the overall support of the technical and operational functions of our Independent Theatre in North Sydney. We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and capable staff who demonstrate initiative, good humour, and professional behaviour, whilst supporting our values as a global learning community.

**The Position**:
As a Theatre Assistant, you will be an integral part of our Theatre team. You will assist with the delivery of events, technical and operational support to all Theatre users, whilst ensuring high standards of performance are continuously met. Key priorities for the role include:
**Front of House Staff**:

- Engage with customers in a professional and supportive manner.
- Provide relevant support of audience members attending performances, and audience members with access needs.
- Handle all customer inquiries that come through as the first point of contact.
- Maintain the theatre by engaging in general cleaning of the venue.
- Conduct regular stock take on alcohol and consumables.
- Build rapport with senior management and other stakeholders.

**Back of House Staff**:

- Manage events in the venue for theatre production, including but not limited to lighting, rigging, stage management and audio visual depending on your experience.
- Assist with the theatre operations and maintenance including stage lighting, sound mixing and AV systems.
- Assist with the management and coordination of team members to help run events.
- Liaise with senior management and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Implement and adhere to venue protocol and WHS Management protocols.

This is a casual position.

This role requires the successful applicant to hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check and to be fully COVID vaccinated.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working a Front/Back of House Staff at another venue. You will have strong technical theatre skills as well as a creative flair. You will be able to build rapport with stakeholder, with an ability to engage and communicate to all including students, parents and staff. You will be capable of working collaboratively within a team environment and be committed to supporting the values of Wenona as you undertake your role.
