**Selection Criteria**:
SC1 - Demonstrated qualification (Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care) and experience and skills in co-ordinating a primary school level Out of School Hours Care program, including program planning and operational activities.

SC2 - Possess technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position including an understanding of the National Quality Framework and Quality Assurance Process for the Quality Improvement Plan.

SC3 - Demonstrate capacity to provide leadership and management of a team, to supervise others in planning and implementing a quality program.

SC4 - Demonstrate sound communication and interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with all stakeholders including school leadership, children, parents, colleagues, school staff and the wider community with a commitment to excellent customer service.

SC5 - The necessary management and computer skills to maintain records including enrolments, attendances, family details, finances, first aid equipment, medical information and prepare regular reports for the Outside School Hours Program subcommittees to the School Council.

**Role**:
Hours of attendance
- Monday-Friday 6.30 am to 9.00 am and 2.00pm-6.00pm with additional flexible time to make up 38 hours during the school term with additional leave purchase/casual hours offered during school holidays.

As the Assistant OSHC Coordinator, you will be responsible to assist the OSHC
Co-Ordinator with the delivery of high-quality care to primary school aged children at this service. The position reports to the OSHC Co-ordinator and the school principal.

As the Assistant Coordinator you will be responsible to assist the OSHC Co-Ordinator for all aspects of the delivery of the OSHC program. You will:

- Lead the session of care (before and after care) in the absence of the OSHC Co-Ordinator
- Assist with the Recruitment, mentoring and support of casual staff to build capability as required
- Undertake compliance and documentation requirements during your non-contact time
- Assist with the Development and implementation our educational program and follow the MTOP Framework
- Assist with the Development and implementation of program policies and procedures as required
- Manage promotion of the program
- Coordinate the enrolment of new students
- Ensure the inclusion of all children and young people within the service. including those with additional care needs
- Assist with the Management of the program budget, including ordering of food and resources, claims for CCS rebates, etc.
- Undertake the preparation of nutritious food for participants
- Provide regular reports to the school council when directed
- Work creatively and efficiently to implement both verbal and written skills, with the ability to write and communicate at a high level.
- Prioritise and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate initiative and capacity to work with mínimal supervision and be autonomous
- Be a high performer and multitasker
- Have a high level of professionalism and work ethic
- Work hard to build a strong rapport with our families, educators, Rowellyn Park Primary School community and the wider community

- Bring a high level of knowledge and demonstrated implementation of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations and My Time Our Place Learning Framework.

**Responsibilities**:
**Essential**
- Demonstrated capacity to lead, coordinate and assist with management of the delivery of a before, after and Vacation Care school care service
- Success in establishing and maintaining positive parent and community relationships
- Demonstrated skills in working with diverse children
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work within a team and embrace collaborative learning practices
- Computer skills and knowledge of relevant school-based software programs
- Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or current Victorian of institute of teaching registration
- First aid certificate, including current anaphylaxis and emergency asthma
- Driver's licence

**Desirable**
- Hold a diploma/advanced diploma of children services/degree in early childhood education and care, primary education or equivalent
- food handling licence
- previous experience working in a leadership role in a OSHC or childcare setting
