**About us**

The multi-disciplinary Urology Unit provides comprehensive treatment, surgical intervention and management of patients with urological conditions. The Unit works in partnership with various treating teams across clinical settings, maintains links with professional bodies and participates in research studies to contribute to building evidence that informs best practice and optimal treatment.**Your new role**:

- Preparation and submission of study proposals for Ethics approval and/or Governance
- Communicate and liaise with sponsors and research coordinators at multiple sites nationally for initial multi-site single ethics submission and during the life of the study
- Selection and recruitment of patients for studies in partnership with the urology nursing staff
- Providing education about the study and administering research questionnaires if required
- Liaising with patients/families, arranging appointments and follow up visits or phone calls
- Data management and data entry utilising multiple IT systems

**About you**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Nursing, or a Health Care related field
- Certified for Good Clinical Practice
- Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
- Experience working in a research office of a research institution or equivalent
- A sound understanding of the ethical and governance review procedures and processes of clinical research.
- Knowledge and Skills relating to managing the financial aspects of the research trials including reviewing study budgets and invoices
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Highly regarded team working skills by peers
- Discretion and confidentiality with regard to treatment of information in reports, tenders, discussions in meetings.
