About the Job
The Guest Experience Department is part of our broader Mountain Operations team and plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for families and guests at Mt Buller. Our team oversees the operation of the Guest Experience team, Snowplay, and the Toboggan Parks, ensuring every visitor has a safe, fun, and exciting time on the mountain.
As a casual, seasonal Toboggan Park Attendant, you’ll help guests of all ages discover the thrill of tobogganing in a welcoming and safe environment from the end of June right until the end of September. With two unique Toboggan Parks at Mt Buller, your days will be varied and full of smiles.
The Village Toboggan Park is at the heart of the mountain, offering stunning views of the ranges and a central location. Open 7 days a week, it’s a favourite for families.
Celia’s Toboggan Park is tucked away in the carpark, surrounded by tall gums and ferns, featuring a longer slope for even more sliding fun.
Your key areas of focus will be:
Welcoming guests, scanning tickets, and delivering engaging safety briefings to kick-start their experience.
Handing out and collecting toboggans, ensuring smooth operations throughout the day.
Monitoring the slope for safety and clearing bumps to maximise sliding fun.
Assisting at the bottom of the slope with marshalling and keeping the area clear for guests.
Being part of a team that contributes to the vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere of Mt Buller.
In an ideal world, you will bring:
A love for working with kids and families, keeping the vibe light and fun.
Previous experience in an alpine resort (bonus points if you’ve worked in guest-facing roles).
A current First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
A willingness to enjoy and excel in physical work outdoors.
