**About the role**:
This role contributes to the success of the City by providing support for internal and external media and public communications for key business divisions and strategic initiatives.

Role accountabilities include:

- Create and manage Media & Communications Activity Plans for Division and Organisation Campaign initiatives.
- Creates and delivers a variety of types of communication content designed to maximise and uphold the City of Hobart brand and positively affect public engagement across all channels.
- Identify and create communication opportunities that contribute positively to the City’s brand, and reputation, across traditional and digital communication platforms.

**About you**:
The desired applicant will have;
- Degree in Communications or a related field coupled with significant experience in news media or a communications role involving strategy, social media, web content, publications and media relations within a diverse organisation.
- Current Driver Licence.
