**Role**:
The successful applicant will require relevant skills in musicianship and instruction of Voice, and be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to suit students across Years 7 to 12. Experience with the VCE Music Contemporary and Repertoire prescribed works/curriculum is desirable.

**Responsibilities**:
**Instrumental Music Instructor**
- Providing a minimum of 32 instrumental music lessons to each student as per their enrolment request.
- Demonstrate outstanding skill in instructing for both group and individual tuition.
- Be able to demonstrate fluently, all aspects of performance techniques.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular program
- Perform duties with - skill, care, diligence and the professional standards
- Create a positive environment conducive to learning for students.
- Comply with any Government policies and legislation.
- Observe safe working practices.
- Providing a minimum of 30 rehearsals for each ensemble allotted to you as relevant.
- Completing administrative duties outside of the delivery of lessons/rehearsals. This may include, but is not limited to:

- Mark rolls on Compass
- Notifying Music Admin and families of multiple absences
- Complete semester reports on student progress during instrumental lessons.

Applicants must have a current WWCC; VIT registration is not required. It is expected that applicants will hold a specialist music degree (ie Bachelor of Music).

**Location Profile**:
Princes Hill Secondary College is known for its robust Music Program, currently involving approximately 450 students across the school in a combination of instrumental lessons, ensembles, and classroom music. There are currently 20 ensembles and 20 staff working as part of the program.
