Reporting to the National Sales Manager (NSM) this role is responsible and motivated for achieving sales targets by retaining and developing existing clients and lead new business development for the Conveyor and Drive Product Group.
Proactive client facing role developing strategic sales plans and owning the future growth of the department.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Direct sales of the Conveyor and Drive Systems product group through collaboration and team work within and across the departments.
- Evaluate new market propositions from market feedback and create strategic actions to optimise our traction within these business sectors
- Deliver presentations to internal and external users to develop further awareness of our products and services and showcase the RUD value proposition
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients and customers through consistent contact and face to face interactions
- Participate in field days and trade exhibitions
- Undertake 30%-50% travel related to BD, projects and negotiations as per agreed timetable
- Engage in face-to-face and video client meetings, while also providing support to the Sales Team during their meetings
- Deliver on sales budgets for clients by creating and executing business plans
- Participate and drive weekly, monthly and quarterly sales meetings
- Prepare and deliver quotes/ proposals/ tenders with support of the internal sales team
- Submit weekly progress reports to the NSM to demonstrate the team’s advancement toward sales targets
- Lead HSE culture by enforcing safety conduct and behaviour on site
- Assist HSE team with inspections, risk assessments and incidents
- Lead and motivate the conveyor and drives sales team members
- Undertake performance appraisal reviews and continuous professional development for your team
- Develop and manage department budgets ensuring targets are delivered on the overall RUD Sales strategy.

**About You**:

- 5+ years sales experience, ideally in mining, material handling, agricultural or cement industry
- Formal sales and marketing related qualifications
- Experience leading a technical sales team
- Engineering or mechanical background (desirable)
- Previously worked on sales projects with long sales cycles
- Experience working towards targets and KPIs
