**Role Objective**:
As a Clinical Lead, you will be a vital part of Ready Steady Family's commitment to providing high-quality individual, couple, and family counseling, education, and support. Join us in making a real impact on the lives of those transitioning to parenthood.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide sensitive and affirmative counseling/psychological services to antenatal/postnatal clients and families experiencing mental health issues during their transition to parenthood.
- Collaborate on bio psycho-social assessments to identify risk and protective factors associated with mental health outcomes, developing individual and family case plans.
- Offer evidence-based focused psychological strategies, addressing issues like anxiety, depression, and birth trauma.
- Engage with socially marginalized or resource-poor client cohorts, including Aboriginal families, emerging multicultural communities, and LGBTIQA+ individuals
- Participate in continuing professional development and clinical supervision
- Collaborate as part of the leadership team, mentoring staff, and inspiring continuous improvement.
- Represent the organization positively in external partnerships, contributing to community development approaches.
- Contribute to research and evaluation activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Actively identify, monitor, and manage areas of key risk, prioritizing child safety.
- Uphold our commitment to Child Safe Standards and cultural safety principles.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Qualification in mental health social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
- Minimum four years’ experience in providing psychological interventions.
- Experience in supervising staff and contributing positively to a leadership team.
- Strong expertise in evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
- Understanding of the needs and sensitivities of diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal, LGBTIQA+, and culturally diverse communities.
- Experience working with individuals and families with complex needs.

- Client-centered and culturally sensitive approach.
- Strong communication, counseling, and leadership skills.
- Expertise in evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
- Strong knowledge of determinants of mental health, including at-risk cohorts.
- Demonstrated understanding of family violence and inclusive practice.
