**Your new team**:
Orygen Specialist Programs (OSP), a program of Melbourne Health, provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to 25 and focuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe and complex mental illness. The Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team provides specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings including the Parkville and Malmsbury sites.**Your new role**:
The Clinical Specialist - Community FYMHS Team Leader is a key leadership position within FYMHS maintaining advanced evidence based, recovery-oriented practices. The incumbent will work closely with the FYMHS Stream Lead & Custodial FYMHS Team Leader to support the development of evidence based clinical interventions across Community & Custodial FYMHS by providing high-level consultation, clinical leadership and management, advice on complex clinical matters, training and supervision of the multidisciplinary teams who work within FYMHS.
- The role will specifically support the management of Community FYMHS sub-teams and have a focus on coordinating the transition support to the community for young people leaving custody. This support may occur at a primary, secondary and/or tertiary level, including direct clinical work with clients and their families/carers, supervision and mentoring of clinicians, and staff education and training.

**About You**:

- Relevant registration and qualifications (see attached position description) - GD4/RPN5
- Proven ability to manage and lead multidisciplinary teams, along with a natural ability to communicate well, motivate your team and lead with kindness, accountability and compassion.
- Ensuring high standards of clinical practice through staff supervision, clinical review, training and professional development
- Knowledge of the youth justice and/or criminal justice system and other relevant settings is highly desirable.
