As Head of Airports, you will effectively lead a team that manages a dynamic, fast-moving business with a large stakeholder matrix, multiple competing priorities and challenges to deliver critical contract and service outcomes. You will be accountable for the safe, compliant, efficient and cost-effective delivery of operations across the QantasLink Airport’s portfolio from small regional airports to our capital city and international ports.

A primary accountability of the role is to seamlessly manage expansion of ground operations to support significant growth in fleet types across our existing network, new ports within Australia and expansion of international services.

The Head of Airports will set the standards for ground operations and ensure assurance oversight to achieve quality and operational performance metrics. Your collaborative leadership style, communication and relationship management skills are key in working with our many third-party providers, business partners and other stakeholders to meet our customer and service goals.

You’ll have
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or complimentary discipline
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in airport/airline operations including a minimum of 5 years in senior management/strategic leadership role
- Experience in managing a complex and diverse operational portfolio that includes people management and managing 3rd party service providers
- Ability to influence through a collaborative leadership style and negotiate business outcomes
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to airport/airline operations and experience in working within a Safety Management System
- Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and set strategic direction
