Our client is looking for an experience Operations Manager to join their team in Botany, NSW Office.

**Position Overview**:
An operations manager is responsible for organizing, planning and managing resources to complete all project preferably on time and under budget. The

operations manager is required to oversee the allocated scope of works, the allocation of personnel and equipment.

**Position Description**:
**Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities**
- Read, Sign and Adhere to all Company Policies.
- Be responsible for maintaining the proper level of safety awareness in all of your jobs without causing injury to yourself, your co-workers and visitors.
- Understand and adhere to all relevant safety rules / procedures and accepted work practices; failure to do so may result in disciplinary actions being applied.
- Be responsible for constantly examining your work environment for hazards that could lead to an injury or incident and promptly initiate corrective action.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
- Report to work fit for duty without impairment from drugs, medications, fatigue or other influences that may adversely affect the safety aspects of your duties.
- Be involved in safety improvement activities.
- Address improper safety practices observed in your co-workers, contractors, and visitors.
- Immediately report all injuries and other safety incidents.
- If injured, co-operate to achieve an effective and speedy rehabilitation.
- Co-operate with management with respect to any action taken to comply with the company’s health and safety obligations.
- Never wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of employee health, safety or welfare.

**General Description**
- Ensure that all staff understand their Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities and adhere to all relevant Codes of Practise/Australian Standards - as above.
- Report to General Manager and or Consulting Arborist/ Estimator to discuss each day’s work and to discuss any issues.
- Discuss with Team leaders daily works and operations to be completed
- Organize and help team leaders supervise teams at the start and end of the day.
- Ensure Team Leaders have the correct job sheets and equipment at the start of each day and that job sheets are completed and returned to office staff at the completion of each day
- Ensure Team leaders/staff complete all:

- Daily Job sheets - to be signed by all staff
- Equipment check list
- Pre op checks for Trucks - Chippers - EWP - Chainsaws - Ropes
- Ensure all Damage and Incident report forms are completed correctly and signed by the appropriate staff and returned to management
- Ensure all staff have the correct PPE at the beginning of the day and that all PPE is in good condition.
- Supervise and instruct all staff in all of Sydney Arbor Operation.
- Report all Damages/Incidents to Management and client as and when they occur.
- Ensure all staff keeps their equipment, chain saws and vehicles in good working condition and that they are maintained regularly.
- Ensure that management is notified of all faulty/damaged equipment to be fixed and that no damaged/tagged equipment goes out onto site.
- Inspect all vehicles to ensure they are equipped with the correct equipment to complete all tasks including emergency work
- Regularly inspect (weekly) that all vehicles have the correct paper work stored in the vehicles
- MSDS forms
- Spear hazard ID forms
- Copy SWMS
- Insurances details
- Service books
- Council exemption list
- Ensure all Emergency equipment is in good working order for both vehicles and workshop at all times
- First Aid Kits - to be kept full
- Spill Kits
- Fire Extinguishers - not to be out dated
- Ensure all general housekeeping is completed
- Ensure all PPE is correctly stored hang up
- Ensure all equipment and tools are stored in their correct place.
- Ensure all fuels are stored correctly
- Ensure that the yard both inside and out are kept tidy at all times

**What we are looking for**:

- 3-5 years related work experience
Level 3 Arborist
- Senior First Aid
- OHS White Card
- Advanced chain saw course
- Manual Handling
- Class C - MR Licence
- EWP - ticket
