**About the role**:
Do you have a natural flair for creating engaging content and comms, with outstanding story telling ability and strong stakeholder engagement? Make your impact and join our Media and Corporate Affairs team with this full time 12-month fixed term contract opportunity.

Reporting to the Media and Corporate Affairs Manager, you will support the execution of Officeworks’ strategic communications strategy covering government affairs, stakeholder engagement, corporate PR programs, reputation and risk, issues & crisis communications, and media relations.

Through corporate storytelling, you will aim to raise awareness of many initiatives across the business, working with key stakeholders and helping to lead our corporate PR program including media releases, store openings, engaging with PR agencies and working together to build out plans to be rolled out externally. You will also be responsible for elements of our LinkedIn corporate page and writing our People Planet Positive Report will be a key project for you to make your own.

**As a Media and Corporate Affairs Lead you will**:

- Support the implementation of Officeworks’ external communications strategy to support the organisation’s objectives to make Officeworks the most trusted / loved brand in Australia via strategic, tailored and targeted external communications and advocacy of business objectives and ambitions (Corporate, ESG, B2B, Education)
- Coordinate and execute the delivery of annual corporate publications including Officeworks’ People and Planet Positive Report and associated strategic communications plans to deliver key achievements to our stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a suite of external communications materials including (but not limited to) media releases, website copy, speaking notes, feature stories, LinkedIn posts, case studies, media pitches, photography briefs, presentations and other published materials.
- Support the running of the in-house media press office - seeking proactive media opportunities and responding in a timely and appropriate to media enquiries and coordinating efficiently to ensure quality outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to develop and implement internal and external communications plans to ensure dissemination of information, sequencing of timing and consistency of message.

**About you**:
You are a natural collaborator and team player, ready to jump in, support and build strong stakeholder relationships. Your expertise in external/internal comms along with your creative mind and agility will see you excel in this role. In addition, you will have:

- Experience in communicating corporate strategy and brand storytelling working with PR agencies
- Relevant experience working in house or a corporate communications agency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, both proactive and reactive
- Experience in communicating corporate strategy and brand storytelling working with PR agencies
- Ability to articulate business strategy and financial results
- Well organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills -excellent project and time management with the ability to adapt content to varied audiences
