Student Career Development Specialist

- Level 6/7: $83,130 - $102,937 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
The focus of the Student Career Development Specialists of this role is to enhance students’ career literacy to enable successful transitions at critical junctures in the student life-cycle and; to equip students to successfully navigate complex career paths in the changing cycle of employment. This position provides specialised and targeted career development services, programs and resources in co-curricular settings and plays an important role in further embedding career development learning into curricula.
ABOUT THE UNIT
Careers & Employability, within the Learning, Teaching & Curriculum Division (LTC), provides sector leading initiatives that contribute to students’ career readiness and their development of employability skills, capabilities, and mindsets to thrive in an increasingly volatile and disruptive jobs market.
The teams within Careers & Employability develop and deliver services and strategies in collaboration with Faculties, professional units and students that enhance access to higher education, and facilitate students’ success, sense of belonging and connectedness, and their employability. The intention of this work is to assist students to fully realise their potential and develop the levels of agency required to do so.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience in the design and delivery of in-person and group-based careers programs and services, preferably within a higher education setting.
You are collaborative and a clear communicator, skilled at working with a wide range of stakeholders across a variety of platforms. You enjoy working with young people from diverse backgrounds. You are motivated by lifelong learning and employability, focused on enhancing the student experience, and are committed to ongoing service and program improvement via an evidence-based approach.
