As the Transport Safety Specialist, you will lead and manage the successful implementation of Transport governance across our Pacific operations, ensuring a major focus on compliance, risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?**:
As a key safety leader, actively promote a Safety First and a continuous improvement quality culture, partnering and supporting internal and external stakeholders. As a go to person on Transport Safety, this position requires a hands on safety professional with transport operational experience within the Transport or Supply Chain industry. Key duties and responsibilities include:

- Manage, develop, implement and maintain Pacific Transport systems, ensuring transportation of goods comply with:

- Legal and regulatory requirements for Country, State, Territory or Regions (Dangerous Goods, Chain of Responsibility etc)
- Provide adequate information, training, instruction and supervision to maintain Road Safety related activities for Pacific, Agents and Contractors.
- Define and implement (as appropriate) culture change programs to support Pacific commitment to HSE improvement focusing on stakeholders involved with Transport activity.
- Manage, develop and implement Pacific Annual HSEQ Training plan for Transport, prioritizing considerations based on mitigating patterns of root causes of Incidents.
- Manage Transport risk assessments (to health, safety, environment and quality) in line with legal, IMS and other requirements.
- Immediately eliminate identified Transport hazards and risks or provide risk mitigation controls.
- Manage HSE Systems in conjunction with relevant stakeholders, programs of improvement works to mitigate injury to Transport workers.
- Where required, work closely with and influence customers regarding transport risk management and compliance.
- Develop constructive working relationships with stakeholders to achieve mutual business outcomes
- In conjunction with Transport providers oversee and support all Transport related incidents (injury, near miss, quality) ensuring escalation, investigation, communication and timeline needs are met.
- Lead critical Transport events requiring initiation of Transport Emergency Response Plans (TERP).
- Conduct internal and external audits as required to ensure compliance with requirements, identification of areas for improvement and follow up / implementation of corrective action.
- When the need arises, assist with special project work as needed or as requested by the direct Manager

**Are you a MATCH?**:

- Experience in Transport or Logistics.
- Solid understanding of Risk Management and Transport Legislation
- Knowledge of Incident investigation and Root Cause analysis.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including demonstrated experience at senior leadership level.
- A very high level of attention to detail in all activities.
- Experience in successfully executing change programs, be the "agent of change".
- Reporting and statistical data skills.
- Mature analytical skills.
