We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Safety Specialist to join our team at OSOS Alliance. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, implement, and monitor safety management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct Safety Inspections and Audits: Regularly inspect and audit our transport and roads projects to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide Expert Advice and Support: Offer guidance and support to project managers and teams on safety-related matters, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Lead Incident Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively to prevent future occurrences.
  • Deliver Safety Training and Awareness Programs: Develop and deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors to promote a positive safety culture and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of their safety responsibilities.
  • Maintain Safety Records and Reports: Accurately maintain safety records and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that all necessary data is collected and analyzed to inform safety decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven Experience in Transport Safety: Possess extensive experience as a Safety Advisor, preferably in the transport and roads sector, with a proven track record of ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Have a deep understanding of safety regulations, standards, and best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.
  • Relevant Qualifications and Certifications: Hold relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a related field, with certifications in incident investigation and risk assessment being highly desirable.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, from project managers to employees and contractors.
