The Opportunity: Driver Development Coach

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a skilled Driver Development Coach to join our Resources & Industrials team. In this role, you will provide effective and safe training to both new and existing drivers across the Victorian region, with potential travel to support interstate operations.

We seek an individual with a comprehensive understanding of road regulations, vehicle operation, and safety protocols, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. If you are eager to contribute to our nation's supply chain, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of safety while adhering to chain of responsibility legislation.
  • Conduct regular assessments of drivers to ensure their competency in all aspects of driving, including human factors and vehicle presentation.
  • Provide ongoing training on paperwork to maintain consistent service standards.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to meet customer requirements safely and promptly.
  • Utilize both formal and informal methods to monitor and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Act as a mentor and leader for drivers through structured appraisals and coaching.
  • Assist in implementing innovative strategies or technologies to promote business growth and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Possession of an MC license.
  • In-depth knowledge of NHVL mass management, fatigue management, road transport regulations, and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various locations.
