- Our client a well-established Orthopaedic surgeon is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to fill a permanent part-time position in the new year.. Your role will be primarily based in the main practice in Kew. _

**_DAYS AND HOURS: _**
- **_Tuesday - 8.30 am -4.30 pm_**:

- **_Wednesday 8.30 am - 5.30 pm_**:

- **_Thursday 8.30 am - 4.30 pm_**

An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced Medical Receptionist who is looking for the next step in their career to be a part of the administration team for an Orthopaedic surgeon who provides state of the art orthopaedic management.

Working with the surgeon, practice manager and senior secretaries, you will be the first point of contact and as such, your primary responsibility is to provide timely, friendly, and professional patient administration services, patient-focused care, and efficient operation of the practice. You will have a genuine desire to provide high-quality assistance to patients, referring practitioners and other stakeholders.

This exciting role requires a high-quality approach to customer service, an excellent telephone manner, be flexible, have a good level of computer literacy and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Duties**:

- Warm and friendly manner when greeting patients, staff, and visitors (in person and over the phone)
- Adhere to covid screening requirements
- Answer or refer enquiries appropriately.
- The ability to communicate and empathetic attitude to patients.
- Answer phone calls and manage multiple incoming calls
- Open/action incoming mail, post outgoing mail.
- Settling of banking/eftpos/ cash/cheque at close of business
- Maintain patient/administration files
- Maintain patient accounts
- Create and update patient files
- Genie Medical software
- Maintain practice confidentiality
- Surgical pack making
- Scanning/photocopying of patient files for medicolegal, Workcover & TAC requests
- Adhoc tasks as requires by doctors and other staff members.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Knowledge of Genie (_preferred_) and Microsoft suite
- Ensure a high level of communication with all staff members
- Pleasant manner, punctual, reliable, and well presented.
- Attention to detail
- Able to work under direction of senior staff, as part of a team approach to efficient practice management and satisfactory workplace relations.
- Friendly manner with patients and staff essential
