**About the role**:
The Prison and Parole Intelligence Unit (PPIU) provides a central point for the flow of prison and parole related intelligence between Victoria Police and external stakeholders including Corrections Victoria (CV) and the Adult Parole Board. Effective intelligence sharing between agencies enhances community safety and ensures the security and good order of all correctional facilities (including adult and youth facilities) throughout Victoria.
As an Intelligence Practitioner at the PPIU, you will be required to work in a dynamic small team environment to ensure the effective sharing of information relating to the Victorian prison environment. Opportunities exist to perform duties at other units within the Intelligence Collection and Liaison Branch where required.

**Your duties will include**:
- Work collaboratively in a small team environment;
- Analyse, assess and produce intelligence documents;
- Provide advice and support to Victoria Police members in relation to prison and parole related matters;
- Develop and maintain comprehensive and contemporary knowledge of the Victorian prison environment;
- Engage with CV staff to facilitate information sharing between Victoria Police and CV;
- Assess, classify and disseminate CV intelligence reports to the relevant unit within Victoria Police;
**As the successful applicant, you will have**:
- Experience in the field of intelligence analysis or similar;
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with a diverse range of internal and external personnel and stakeholders;
- An understanding of the customer service requirements of the position and a demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs
- Proven ability to plan and organise work and produce high quality results;
- Ability to manage a high workload;
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills and the proven use of initiative in solving problems;
- A proven record of ethical behaviour and a demonstrated commitment to the Victoria Police Code of Ethics and Conduct and the Organisational Values.
**Requirements and relevant information**:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
