**Position Information**:
Lurnea Public School has a student enrolment of 447 students ranging from Preschool to Year 6 from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, including 37 Aboriginal students. The school benefits from the opportunity of having a Support Unit to cater for students with additional learning needs. 78% of students come from a language background other than English. The school is located in South Western Suburbs of Sydney and has a Family and Occupational Index (FOEI) of 162.
Staff work collaboratively to review data and strategically design, plan and implement quality differentiated programs. In 2024, the school will be engaged in a data inquiry project that will be strengthened through our engagement in the departments Reading, Numeracy Strategic School Support initiative.

Lurnea Public School has a strong commitment to Aboriginal Education and ensures that teaching and learning programs have an Aboriginal perspective.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis from a variety of sources to drive individual and group interventions and identify and support areas for professional development for individual or whole school staff.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage proactively and professionally with students, parents, staff, support agencies and the wider community, as part of a collaborative team.
