**About Northern Beaches Hospital**
Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including inpatient and outpatient Maternity Services, Surgery, Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Pediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, and Cancer Centre.
NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.
Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area. It was thoughtfully designed to optimise patient safety and overall experience, and to provide meaningful management and operational efficiencies that benefit everyone.

**About the Role**
We are looking for a ward clerk on a part time basis to support the medical teams within our Day of Surgery services. You will be located in the on the ward. Our Ward Clerks provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. This is a great role for experienced and patient care focused individuals who are wanting to achieve work-life balance and a dynamic career in Healthcare.
As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:
- greet all customers
- handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
- maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records,
- undertaking general administration duties,
- liaison with other areas of the hospital,
- arranging patient discharge and inter-facility transfer,
- management of patient electronic records ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
Essential Criteria:
- experience in an acute patient focused healthcare facility/hospital,
- highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments,
- good computer literacy & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel),
- a track record of providing great service and customer experience,
- strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills,
- ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
